Two things Indiana is known for - corn and the Monon. Monon had a number of dual-purpose boxcars (boppers) designed with covered hopper-like loading hatches on the top for agricultural products. Car 15030 was built in 1969 and was one of the last freight cars purchased by Monon before the Indiana railroad was absorbed by L&N in 1971.
