The new and old at Enola; a 5-year old GP38 leads a 23-year old GP7 into the yard. This was a day when three young railfans parked by the yard office, asked the secretaries inside if we could see the "super," and asked him if we could take pictures around the yard. He said "sure," pointed out the window toward the east hump office, and gave us a stern lecture about stepping over rails, not on them, and told us to introduce ourselves to the east hump crew and not go anywhere else. The crew members were somewhat bemused at first, but took a liking to us and introduced us as "new Conrail management" to the other railroaders who came into the hump office. We had a great time shooting GG1s, E44s, and diesels from all three builders.
