Since 1988, a 16 mile long segment of the old Western Maryland mainline has been used as a tourist railroad, known as the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. In this scene, a re-created "extra" freight train, powered by locomotive 734, thunders up the mountain heading west in the harsh winter afternoon sunlight. At the end of the 2015 season, number 734 will be taken out of service for an undetermined amount of time.
