Winding through scenic Soledad Canyon, a northbound Union Pacific Los Angeles to Lathrop doublestack train works through the curves near the old east switch at Ravenna on the ex-SP Saugus Line. Much to the delight of some local rail fans, a former SP AC4400CW is assigned as the rear DPU this afternoon. To the left of the train, and closely paralleling the railroad through most of this area, is Soledad Canyon road, probably made most famous by the early Steven Spielberg film "Duel", which includes many scenes of Southern Pacific trains in this area.
