Vermont Rail System recently moved some of the Pan Am Southern Railroad interchange back to Bellows Falls, Vermont, including the weekly limestone slurry train from the OMYA quarries in Florence, VT to Pan Am Railway for movement to Portland, Maine and the remaining paper mills north of Portland. On Saturday, June 25, running as GMRC 263X-25, the 55-car slurry train crosses a causeway along the Connecticut River on the approach to the GMRC Riverside Yard. The train was led by VTR SD70M-2 432, GP40-2W 311, GP40-2 308, GP38-2 201 and GP38-2 206.
