255 cools its heels at Moberly while 122 swaps crews on Main 2. Both 255 and 122 are loaded up with auto parts traffic. 122 has a string of empty 86' boxcars headed east for more body panels while 255 is primarily made up of trailers carrying auto parts like batteries, engines, and transmissions. The train sat for a few hours waiting for 256 to depart the Triple Crown facility at Kansas City.
Moberly was once a division point on the Wabash, Norfolk and Western, and Norfolk Southern. Until it was combined with the Decatur Division to form the Illinois Division in 1987, the Moberly Division offices were housed in the Wabash Depot at the corner of Sturgeon and Coates Streets in downtown Moberly.
