Sitting dormant is the face of passenger railroading in New Jersey from the 1970s-1990s, the U34CH. The U34CH was capable of running both freight and passenger trains for the EL, which was revolutionary at the time. Now in 2016, the 3372 is the only one of its kind in the United States, and possibly the only one of its kind in the world. Several were exported to Brazil and Mexico but their whereabouts are unknown. Plans are in the works to cosmetically restore this unit, and then hopefully return it to operating condition.
