Passing trains at Alna Center. From on board a southbound WW&F Mixed Train in the hole at Alna Center, we watch as a northbound mixed observes the red flag and slows for a station stop. WW&F Alna Center Station Agent Stewart Rhine greets #9's Engineman on the platform as Fireman J.B. Smith watches the clearance with our stopped train. After picking up a shipment of raw milk from a nearby farm, and revised train orders, #9 will continue its trek north toward Albion. As the northbound clears the station, our train will have a clear track ahead for Wiscasset, some 6.4 miles to the south.
