One of the many Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains that run between Los Angeles and San Diego enters Fullerton train station as it comes to a stop to perform its station work. AMTK 450, an EMD F59PHI, is the lead locomotive of this train, and was Amtrak's first F59PHI ordered when building their Surfliner fleet. Behind the train, you see one of the few remaining searchlight signals standing over the eastern entrance into the station. Now, time is fading fast for this old bridge as rumors are that it'll be replaced soon with newer LED signals. Trains and palm tress; a classic Southern California scene.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
