The new kids on the blockJust south of 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, an Amtrak Acela Express, led by No. 2015, is captured southbound with the expanding city skyline serving as back drop.
Front center, the thin white core with a barely visible crane is the new Comcast Technology Center, soon to be the tallest building in Pennsylvania at 1,121' tall. To the right, between Libery 1 and Liberty 2 twin towers is 1911 Walnut at 565' deceivingly tall due to its much closer distance. To the far left is the Evo at Cira Centre South at 427' while what appears to be the tallest building is actually the now completed FMC Tower at Cira Cetre South standing 730' tall - looking largest due to it being the closest to the photographer standing over the tracks on a pedestrian overpass at Penn Park, site of the former post office complex. Meanwhile, Amtrak continues with its concrete tie replacement project.
