Seen leading here a Burlington steam special, CB&Q was in the process of being refurbished at the Q's West Burlington shops when new company president Lou Menk ended the Burlington's steam program. The locomotive was sold to a Wisconsin bread salesman named Richard Jensen who also took ownership of CB&Q 4960, CB&Q 4963, and GTW 5629. Ultimately, CB&Q 5632 was stored at the Chicago & Western Indiana's 47th Street Roundhouse. In 1969, Jensen's lease would expire, and the locomotive ultimately was moved by the C&WI to a scrapyard on Chicago's South Side where the locomotive was cut up. Tom Golden slide collection.
