A northbound Fox River Valley Railroad freight curves out of West Bend, Wisconsin, on May 13, 1990. Three unique FRVR six-axle locomotives pull the train—Former CB&Q/BN EMD SD24 No. 2402, former Santa Fe/LS&I Alco RSD-15 “Alligator” No. 2407 and the railroad’s sole former Southern Railway EMD SD35 No. 2500. This portion of the FRVR route between Milwaukee (Granville) and Green Bay is abandoned and now the Eisenbahn State Trail.
