When New Haven U25B 2519 posed at the Maybrook, NY, engine terminal in June 1969, Penn Central was already beginning to shift traffic away from this once-important connection between the NH and the Erie Lackawanna and Lehigh & Hudson River. The Alco S-1 in the background bears a new PC number, and sadly the 2519 would soon be getting a coat of basic black.
