Legendary British Railways steam locomotive 'Royal Scot' #46100 is entering Bewdley Station with a night service to Bridgnorth. Designed by Sir William Stanier, 'Royal Scot' was the flagship locomotive of the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company (LMS). #46100 (ex 46152) was sent to Chicago World's Fair in 1933 and toured afterwards 11,194 miles in North America, including crossing the Rocky Mountains. It is currently owned by the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust.
Picture taken in close collaboration with Franz Geisser and Markus Fischer during the Autumn Gala on the Severn Valley Railway. |
