Bright day on the Brightline. The GoBrightline Orange set flies past the control point at Fort Lauderdale Bridge on the morning of Sunday, December 9, 2018. Bracketed by Siemens SCB-40s 101 and 105, the four coaches in between have a capacity of 240 passengers. This service is approaching its one year anniversary and while it currently runs between West Palm Beach and Miami, FL, expansion is planned to Orlando.
Now running between Orlando and Miami, this privately held high-speed passenger railroad is expanding with plans to add service to Tampa and between Las Vegas and Southern California.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
