With the Apache having faced extinction once before when their main customer, a paper mill in Snowflake, AZ, shut down, it was imperative to get this line before anything could possibly happen to this line again. Fortunately, it seems that the new owners (a pig farm, where all of those grain cars are headed) have bolstered the line enough to allow operation of a once a week train from the shops at Snowflake to the interchange at Holbrook.
