A recent additon to the Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum collection is Nickel Plate Road 757, a 1944 Lima built 2-8-4 that is commonly referred to as a "Berkshire". Originally donated to the city of Bellevue, OH after being retired in 1958, it was donated to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in 1966 when money could not be rasied for a proper display. It sat outside the RR Museum of PA as a static dislay until 2019, when agreement having been reached with the Mad River & NKP Museum it was moved by Norfolk Southern Corp to the Bellevue, OH location. The 757 arrived in at the Mad River & NKP Museum on February 14th, 2019.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
