Really Red. One of my favorite all time pics, let’s go back to Friday, July 30, 2010. After a few weeks of fruitlessly waiting for the phantom Friday Canadian Pacific train, we finally struck gold. With its visibly “cut plow” to clear the third rail, 5690 (SD40-2) comes off the Oak Point Link and through MTA Metro-North Railroad Highbridge Yard on to the Hudson Line. The Continental Airlines billboard is another remnant of the past. These CP weekly runs would end shortly after, leaving CSX as the sole freight operator on this east of Hudson line.
