WW&F Engineman Dana Deering. WW&F Engineman Dana Deering tops off the oil cups on Locomotive #9, as she sits on display in the Sheepscot Yard, during her 2016 dedication ceremony. Dana is a long-time member of the WW&F and a frequent participant, not only in train operations, but in track construction and ROW maintenance as well. As an Engineman, he is intimately familiar with all of the sections of track that need adjustments. On the MOW crew, he can often be found lying on the ballast, checking the alignment and leveling of the track, using his large, home-made "gunsights." When it comes to lining and leveling the museum's track, the WW&F crew relies heavily on Dana's eagle eyes.
