A treasure around the Illinois/Indiana border is the South Chicago & Indiana Harbor Railway, which was known as the Chicago Short Line until 2003. SCIH 30, 31 and 28 make a pickup at ArcelorMittal in Whiting, IN. From my past experiences, catching this railroad with more than two units has been rather difficult. With a larger delivery to the mill today, two trains were used and the power was combined for the return trip to home base in Chicago's south side. ArcelorMittal's United States business was sold to Cleveland-Cliffs on September 28th, 2020. With the SCIH having been owned by Mittal Steel, you can say that Cleveland-Cliffs has taken on a "steprailroad."
