With the last of the fall colors hanging on, Lhoist North America’s two ex-Southern Railway GE B23-7’s lead the Crab Orchard mines road train to the NS interchange in Rockwood over one of the many trestles that can be found on this stretch of the former Tennessee Central mainline. Since the arrival of the 3043, it's been rare for either of the high hoods to appear on the point of the road train, so to have both of them powering the days train is certainly a plus, especially since the 4021 is rarely seen on it dating back to its Franklin days. This would also turn out to be the first day for about a month that these engines would be the road power while the 3138 was getting radiator repairs & the 3043 would serve as the plant switcher.
