A gloomy winter day on the Front Range. It's a gloomy, damp February afternoon on the high plains east of Colorado's Front Range, as a Great Western freight makes its way west toward Loveland.
Dressed in the livery of her original owner, the Great Western Railway of Colorado, the above re-creation depicts Locomotive #90, a 2-10-0, performing for photographers on a February, 2013 Lerro Productions photo shoot at Pennsylvania's Strasburg Rail Road. This image was captured at a farm just east of the East Strasburg Yard Limit.
Images of surviving Great Western Railway locomotives, painted in the liveries of their original owner, operating on photo charters on tourist railways today.
