After a rather good morning in Atlanta with K444 & P52, I headed north for Etowah to grab W024, a loaded welded rail train with a SD50-3 leading a SD40-2. After waiting over 3 days to leave Etowah, it finally got a crew late in the afternoon & started to head south for Atlanta. Here, we see it on the north side of Chatsworth with the last pocket of sunshine for the day lighting it up. You know you're having a good day when an SD50 leader is not at the top of your priority list in 2021, even if there were only 4 of them active on CSX at the time that this was shot.
