The cogwheel steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7 of the Rigibahnen was built by SLM in 1873 and retired in 1937. Since 1959, it has been part of the collection of the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne. The locomotive was already put back into service in 1996/1997 (125 years of Rigibahnen) and 2007 (150 years of Swiss Railways) and ran on the Rigi. Now it will be overhauled and put into service once again in 2021, for the 150th anniversary of the Vitznau-Rigi Railway. On this day, the crankshaft (new built in 1996), which directly drives the drive gear on the rear axle with a gear wheel, was carefully put in. Here, the crankshaft can be seen on the right, while the locomotive is waiting for this work.
