The Jewel Of Joliet. On the evening of Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Iowa Interstate Railroad's BICB (Blue Island, Illinois-Council Bluffs, Iowa) crosses the diamond in Joliet, Illinois. IAIS 518 (GE ES44AC) is a solo unit on this run. One of the longest days of the year was the right time to go out for this shot, as the susnet light highlights that most of the year it would be in the dark. The IAIS is running on the former Rock Island, crossing the former tracks of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe and Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroads. In the background, the stadium of the Frontier Independent League Baseball Joliet Slammers sits next to Joliet Union Station.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
