A southbound Tri-Rail rolls past the abandoned 1926 Seaboard Air Line Delray Beach Depot. This depot was used by Amtrak and Tri-Rail until a newer station was built just south of here. For about three decades, it has sat here decaying, used only by the city of Delray Beach to store its Christmas decorations. In 2020, vandals lit the building on fire, causing the roof to collapse. However, the city has stated that it intends to restore and reopen the depot. Recently, the roof over the platform has been removed, but much work remains to be done.
