Remarks & Notes |
Diving Down.
A Manhattan-bound 7 train is seen diving down towards the portal of the Flushing Line as it passes two M9 married pairs in the LIRR Arch Street Yard. The tracks in the yard once led to the iconic "Long Island" float bridges on the East River - which are now part of Gantry Plaza State Park - and old photos of the area show similar views but with the adjacent yard filled with freight from the carfloats! |
