An eastbound Soo Line intermodal train, still operating like one of Milwaukee Road’s “Sprint” trains, approaches the end of double track at Raymore, Wisconsin, at sunset on September 26, 1987. Two tracks go to one here for the trip through Wisconsin’s only active railroad tunnel at appropriately-named Tunnel City.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
