On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Kiruna (Sweden) to Narvik (Norway) ore railroad, which was opened in 1902, the Swedish Railway Museum in Gävle, together with the mining company LKAB, organized a multi-day event in Kiruna and on the Swedish part of the ore railroad line. The Swedish Railway Museum Gävle's rod-driven locomotive Da # 888, built in 1955 for the Swedish State Railways, pulled a public extra train from Kiruna to Abisko Oestra and back and can be seen entering Kiruna on the way back. The train has 3 1st class cars, a bar car, a dining car and material and baggage cars, all beautiful and very well maintained rolling stock of the railroad museum.
