Sittin' in St. Lou. Webb Rail's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome 313 (WEBX 801044) and former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome 549 (WEBX 801045) were behind the locomotive, in the front of the consist on Amtrak 21 (Texas Eagle) on the night of Sunday, December 27, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. The stop at the St. Louis Gateway Station for the Eagle has time in the schedule to remove a short turn coach from the consist that will return on the northbound Eagle the next day and also gives passengers some time to stretch their legs on the platform. The Webb Rail cars would continue to Fort Worth, Texas on this excursion, taking a round trip on the Heartland Flyer before going on to San Antonio and returning to Albany-Rensselaer, New York via Chicago, Illinois.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
