Through The Truss On The Southern Tier. On January 7, 2023, NJ TRANSIT Train 73 with NJTR GP40PH-2 4101 (née-CNJ 3672, NJ DOT Heritage) crossed the lattice through truss bridge across the Ramapo River in Hillburn, New York on the way to Port Jervis, New York. This bridge design is common to the former Erie Railroad Southern Tier Line, with similar examples across New York State. The signs in front of the bridge read "No Trespassing - Norfolk Southern Corp." reminding us that the line is owned by Norfolk Southern Corp, leased by MTA Metro-North Railroad, and operated by NJ Transit.
