CP 1413 leads the eastbound Canadian up the Columbia River valley at Moberly, northwest of Golden, BC. The Canadian and all other CP intercity passenger trains were taken over by VIA Rail Canada on October 29, 1978. Today The Canadian uses CN rails, and CP is freight only in British Columbia (except commuter service in Vancouver).
