Blue Comet. Former CNJ "The Blue Comet" car "Tempel" is another CMSL resident. This route originated in Jersey City, NJ at the "Communipaw Terminal" in today's Liberty State Park. While its name and colors will live on in perpetuity, the CNJ route only lasted from 1929-1941. The car resides at Cape May Seashore Lines (CMSL), operator of a portion of former PRSL trackage that honors its heritage by acquiring and maintaining former PRSL equipment. Other New Jersey railroads including PRR and Central Railroad Of New Jersey (CNJ) are also represented in its collection, and the company handles both tourist passenger and freight service.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
