BN 6473, an SD45 ordered by NP but delivered to BN in July 1970, leads train 3, the Pacific Zip out of North La Crosse through Onalaska, WI on the beginning of a quick run to St. Paul, and ultimately Seattle. The train got its name as it handled a mail contract and other hot intermodal freight on a tight schedule between Chicago & Seattle. Note the GE style side windows, a custom install that NP had preferred. After this series of SD45s were delivered, BN future EMD orders would not have the extra side windows.
