Stadium Signals. Sound Transit/Sounder Commuter Rail F59PHI SDRX 909 (EMD, 1998–2001) is laying over next to Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington as seen from South Holgate Street on the morning of September 2, 2008. The railroad part of the scene is largely unchanged today, though the home of the Seattle Mariners is now called T-Mobile Park. After receiving a mid-life overhaul by EMD, the eleven F59PHIs (901-911) continue to serve to this day. In 2019, ridership was reported to be 4,616,656 on the two lines, a more than 500% increase over 2004, the first full year that both the S and N lines were in operation.
