The Willow Springs, IL to Los Angeles, CA UPS train charges out of the sag of Pica as it begins the climb up Yampai Hill. Normally, these Z-WSPLACs are short, hotshot trains. Today however, the Z-WSPLAC was running over 15,000 ft with a 4x3x0 power configuration. Two sections of the WSPLAC were combo together. I'm not sure if this was a result of the recent Lupton, AZ derailment and the massive back up that came with it, or the railroad is being more aggressive with the reduction of crew starts.
