| During the late evening CSX Q611-15 (Atlanta,GA-Montgomery,AL) is doubling from trk D1 to trk D2 at the departure Yard before getting permission to depart south out of the Atlanta Terminal. What a fond distance memories out of the one of L&N's only largest Hub in Georgia. Tilford Yard was buzzing that evening during the holiday rush in December of 2015. Unfortunately this was one of two photos in my collections of Tilford Yard when it was full of action. If only I had a crystal ball and seen in the future that Tilford would be taken out of service and faded into history, I would've made more trips here to shoot the actions. So this photo would be the end of an era image in my collection. |
