Remarks & Notes
Stormy Saturday Sunrise | A manifest train headed for Newton, KS has just left the town of Ottawa, KS behind as it heads west during a rain shower on the stormy morning of Saturday, July 13, 2024. The sun peeks through the clouds, casting a golden glow on the railroad and the Flint Hills Trail - a Kansas state park comprised of a 117-mile stretch of former Missouri-Pacific Railroad right-of-way which parallels the BNSF's Southern Transcon for several miles in this area.

For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
