Employee Appreciation On Labor Day. The final of the five MTA Metro-North Railroad 40th Anniversary wrap features an intricate design that combines thousand of photos of current and retired MNR employees to create different murals on each side of the locomotive on MNCW 214 (P32AC-DM, Employee Appreciation). The engineer's side, seen here on Train 8856 on the evening of September 1, 2024 passing through the Riverdale Station in the Bronx, New York, shows the "two-tone M" that was the MTA logo for many years. Happy Labor Day!
With three lines radiating north out of Grand Central Terminal plus service to Port Jervis on the former Erie, Metro North covers a wide swatch of New York's northern suburbs with varying terrains.
