A behind the scenes view of my maternity photoshoot with Taber. We set up at the Amtrak depot in La Crosse, WI for a couple hours of shooting here and a couple of other locations. The Amtrak depot was a great place to combine both of my passions as the moderately busy Canadian Pacific's mainline runs right by this location. I also spoke with Rail Pictures top contributor Thomas Johnson who can be seen in the black F150 watching a huge EMD lash up led by ICE 6101. Most of my portrait shoots involve at least the two Canon 580EX-IIs with remote triggers, usually with shoot through umbrellas or other type of light modifier as seen here. The umbrella do not work well if there is anything above a light breeze.
