Look, Ma, no pans! A New Jersey Transit ALP44 cruises past Winslow Junction tower on the former Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines with Atlantic City Express Service, bound for the city on the shore. ACES trains ran briefly for a few years between New York and Atlantic City with a diesel on the north/west end of the train and an electric on the south/east end. The electric powered the train through the tunnel between New York and Newark, and the diesel did the rest. On the PRSL it produced the unusual sight of an electric leading a train without any catenary.
