As railroad history goes, this is about as good as it gets in Atlanta. Now abandon South Tower use to control the southern approach to Terminal Station, the largest of two nearly side by side multi-railroad stations in downtown Atlanta. A short section of platform, the last remnants of that once great station, can be seen directly above the lead unit. To cap it all off, the large white building in the background was for many years the Atlanta offices of the Southern Railway and Norfolk Southern.
