Norfolk Southern 911, the railroad's "Honoring First Responders"-liveried locomotive and a sister SD60E wraps 36A's train around the super elevated curve at Lilly in the early morning of the last day of August in this 18mm view, inching east up the West Slope grade on Main 2 with 34 autorack loads and 60 manifest cars for the PRR's former Edgemoor Yard in Wilmington, Delaware. Of all of the various commemorative schemes that Norfolk Southern has unveiled on new locomotives during these past few years, this one one is definitely one of the most appealing to the eye, and is without a doubt one of the most meaningful.
