As I was driving to Los Angeles to spend Fourth of July with my family, I found myself in front of a beautiful sunset; caused by a monsoon storm over Kingman. I told myself that if a train comes now, I'm pulling off the road. No more than five seconds after thinking that, the headlights of the BNSF 7882 rounded the curve at Hackberry. So, I got out and stood on the top of my car and got a quick grab shot. Needless to say, I drove the 375 miles to LA pretty happy.
Pictures taken with the strong contrast between Rail and Light in Dawn/Dusk/Sunrise or Sunset.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
