Two Milwaukee Road GP20s lead a westbound freight through Hoffman Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota, on the afternoon of March 22, 1986. Milwaukee Road GP20s were not true EMD-built GP20s, but were GP9s rebuilt and upgraded to 2,000 h.p. locomotives by the road’s own shops. Trailing Milwaukee Nos. 963 and 949 are Soo Line GP38-2 No. 4429 and GP9 No. 410.
