What once was the front of a former Southern Pacific Cadillac is now reduced to a lawn ornament for a local tourist outfit. The 4405, as far as I know, was one of the Port of Tillamook Railroad's first units that the SP sold them shortly after taking over operations on the former Tillamook Branch. After the railroad was flooded in the winter following the Great Coastal Gale of 2007, the 4405, as well as all future operations of the railroad from Tillamook to Hillsboro were shut down indefinitely. While 3 of the railroad's SD9s are preserved, still under Port ownership, and on lease to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, the 4405 was one of the unlucky ones to meet the cutting torch.
