Yard Job CSX M72001 is making the shovel move up the south-end of Raccoon Mountain taking a cut of loaded covered hopper to the Koch Food Inc Storage facility, two miles up the old main near the Tennessee, and Georgia State line. This section of railroad can also be a serious bottom neck for CSX unit trains that by-pass Wauhatchie Yard for a crew change, and for the NS haulage rights trains that are trying to get to and from the Norfolk Southern trackage at the joint-connect track. What you don't see is progress in the making in the back ground the tree line has been cut at least 60+ feet from the main track. CSX is planning to extend the the main one track from the control-point at Wildwood, all the way to the control-point at Wauhatchie, to eliminate any bottom neck on the soon to be main 2 track in the near future. Note the track in the foreground is the Norfolk Southern's AGS North-End main that links Chattanooga, TN to Birmingham, AL.
