All is quiet at the Farmrail's Clinton, Oklahoma shops on a windy morning. GNBC 8253, nicknamed Kickapoo, sits around with other locomotives, as well as a caboose and a few passenger cars. GP10 8253 was built as the Northern Pacific GP9 224 in 1955 and now wears Farmrail paint. GP38AC 626 and GP10 8126 are two other notable units in this picture. 626 was built for the GM&O in 1971 and also spent time with the ICG and IAIS. It still wears Iowa Interstate paint to this day. 8126 shows off its obvious IC heritage and was built in 1956. There's lots of history here and I would like to return sometime in the not so distant future.
