Take the oldest road switcher in service, clean and polish it, add white extra flags, marker lights and a polished brass bell, and you have the classiest power for a photographer’s special ever provided by a common carrier. Add a truss rod wooden combine for the photographers to ride in, and even the rainy weather couldn’t dampen the mood of a small army equipped with ISO 25 film. Immediately behind the passenger extra was the daily Fort Smith turn, which was also posed for the photographers at each location. Here the passenger extra poses at the south portal of the Winslow Tunnel.
