At the end of a clear day in Powder River Basin, a southbound Union Pacific coal train heads for home rails south of Bill, Wyoming, on July 8, 1999. Just for the record, this is a Kodachrome 64 slide, shot with a Pentax ME Super camera and a Takumar 200mm lens that did not have a tendency to flare, even into a bright sun. I know I couldn’t repeat this shot with my digital camera and zoom lens…
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
